Why not going to Tibet and camp on the Mt Everest ?

Well, now that I am going through a rough divorce with my Google Calendar, I believe there is a window of flexibility before I get crazy busy again, and I have to  must make the most of it ! So… perfect moment to arrange some more trips !

First of all, we are all set for the month of August with a quick trip to France and, finally, our wedding on the Riviera Maya, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Great occasion (excuse?) as well to be taking our friends and families around to Guadalajara, Tequila, Mexico City, Merida, Cancun, Tulum,… Can’t beat that, can you ? But a lot more on that in the next few weeks.

But after so many months waiting to be “released“, my craving for travels kept on growing. Without any more time, we also settled a great experience trip to Tibet and its Everest Base Camp for October with the Shanghai Travelers Society guys.

Last time I went to Tibet was in 2003 and I staid 3 weeks traveling around the Himalaya and I had a blast! However, since it was before the train get to reached Lhasa connecting the city with all China’s major cities, I am sure things have changed a lot and I cannot wait to discover new places where the group will be taking us, such as the Namtso and the Yamdrok Lakes, or the Yangbajain hot springs… and of course an overnight stay camping at the Everest Base Camp, that should be something, right ? (more details about the trip here)

At least, it’s exciting ! Let’s catch up on that in early October to follow how awesome this trip should turn out to be.

Although, I wonder, what are the places to absolutely try in Lhasa and Shigatse…?
